Retreat Highlights
|
Sophie is a passionate yoga teacher and retreat host with a deep love for the outdoors and the healing power of nature. She has been organizing and leading retreats for the past ten years in Morocco, creating transformative experiences that blend movement, breath, and connection. A devoted cold-water swimmer, Sophie believes in the power of nature to restore and inspire.
At the heart of her retreats is a passion for bringing people together to share experiences and create life-changing memories that continue long after the weekend ends. Throughout the retreat, she will guide you through nourishing yoga sessions, breathwork, and reflective workshops, supporting you in embracing the energy of the season with warmth and intention. |
Kate, founder of Black Mountains Swims, is a Bluetits open-water swim coach with a deep passion for helping others experience the joy and wellbeing benefits of wild swimming.
Kate’s approach is all about embracing the experience, reconnecting with nature, and rediscovering the pure, playful joy of being in the water - her gentle guidance and supportive presence will help you feel safe, confident, and inspired. Throughout the weekend, she’ll be leading our guided swims, holding space for you to explore the magic of wild swimming in a way that feels nourishing and empowering. |
Emily is the founder of Grove Farm Glamping, the beautiful countryside retreat that will be our home for the Thrive: Wild Swim & Yoga Retreat. Nestled in the rolling landscape of the Black Mountains, Grove Farm was born from Emily’s passion for nature, slow living, and outdoor adventure.
As a registered retreat chef, Emily brings her love for fresh, locally sourced ingredients to every dish she creates. On Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, she will prepare a nourishing seasonal feast, celebrating the flavours of the land and offering a moment to come together and reflect on the weekend’s experiences. And, of course, no meal would be complete without her award-winning brownies, (pictured here!) which earned two prizes at the local show last year! |
Sleeping under the starsGrove Farm has three cosy bell tents, each sleeping three people, offering a peaceful and comfortable retreat in nature. Each tent is fully furnished with comfy mattresses and all bed linen and bath towels ensuring a restful night under the stars. For your convenience, each tent has its own allocated shower cubicle and portaloo, just a two-minute walk across the field. Outside, you'll find a hammock, seating area, and fire pit, providing the perfect space to unwind, connect, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. |
Saturday – Movement, Breath & Connection
Morning:
|
Throughout the weekend, we will immerse ourselves in the energy of summer, embracing movement, breath, and nature to feel truly alive and connected.
- Summer Energy Workshop – A 2-hour indoor session weaving together meditation, breathwork, yoga, and intention-setting, designed to align with the energy of the season. - Outdoor Yoga Flow – If the weather allows, we will flow under open skies, moving with the rhythm of nature - Morning Breathwork Before Swims – A grounding breathwork practice each morning to prepare body and mind for wild swimming. - Evening Reflections Around the Fire – A space to gather under the night sky, sharing quiet moments, journalling, and meaningful discussion by the warmth of the fire. While we can’t control the weather, we will embrace the elements and adapt, making the most of our time together with warmth, movement, and presence. |
